This Popsicle Rice Krispies Treats recipe is the perfect summer treat that won’t melt in your hand!
We recently had a heat wave here last week, warnings from Environment Canada and all.
My kids love popsicles but during a heat wave, they aren’t the smartest choice.
While they are a great cool treat on a hot day, the kids will likely be a sticky mess having more on them than they consume.
So, these cute Popsicle Rice Krispies Treats are a fun alternative.

Using an electric mixer, beat together butter, confectioners’ sugar, cocoa powder and milk.
Once your buttercream starts to form (ie.: is smooth and forms semi-stiff peaks), add some brown gel food colouring to make the colour richer.
Mix until completely combined.
Scoop your buttercream into a piping bag with Wilton frosting tip #8 attached.
Frost the top of each rice cereal treat, covering it almost in its entirety: pipe out the bottom so that it looks like it’s “dripping.” You can even add some “drops” if you’d like!
