Sight words help to build speed and fluency when reading.
Speed and fluency help with accuracy and increase reading comprehension.
Sight words are a collection of words that children need to learn to recognize without sounding out the letters.
They are the most common and frequently used words and are foundational words that are used to build a child’s vocabulary.
Practising sight words with your children is fundamental in their education.
Today I am sharing a fun Sight Word Practice Activities printable package that will help your child learn 20 of the 220 sight words.
I will be sharing other packages over the next few months until I have covered all 220 of the sight words.

Sight Word Practice Activities
This Sight Word Practice Activities printable package is a great way to help your child learn to read and write while having fun!
To get multiple uses out of your package, and pass it down to another child, I suggest laminating it.

What’s Included
Here is a preview of the 20 pages included in the sight word practice activities package.

Each page asks the child to read the word.

Then they are instructed to trace the word.

They can have some fun by colouring in the word however they like.

Next, they need to be a detective and find the word hidden in the word search.

They also get to practice their writing skills as they write out the sight word in the boxes.

Last, but not least, they need to complete the sentence using the sight word.

Laminating the sheets will allow your child to reuse them over and over again.

Preserve Your Printables
I laminate all of Bella’s learning sheets and printable games.
This allows them to be used more than once and handed down to my nephews or niece later on.
If you have little ones, a laminator is a great investment!
Amazon is where I bought my laminator, and where I buy all of my laminating pouches.
