Some days I can almost convince myself I’ve lear

Some days I can almost convince myself I’ve learned how to live with this.

Then something reminds me of you … a song, a smell, a random Tuesday, and suddenly I’m not here anymore. I’m back in the worst moment of my life, begging for a different ending that I know will never come.

I don’t think people understand that I didn’t just lose my dad that day. I lost the person I was before grief found me. I lost the feeling of safety. I lost the belief that the people I love will always be there tomorrow.

I’ve lived through so many days without you, but none of them have made missing you hurt any less. I’ve just gotten better at carrying it where no one else can see.

I hope, somehow, you know how deeply you are loved. I hope you know that I carry you into every room, every decision, every version of the person I’m becoming.

If my love could have saved you, you would have lived forever.

Grief doesn’t end because time passes. It just changes.

Losing someone leaves a space that no one else can fill. The hardest part isn’t always the day you lose them, it’s all the ordinary days that follow, when you realize how many moments you still want to share.

If you’re missing someone today, you’re not alone. Love doesn’t disappear when they are gone. It simply becomes the memories we carry and the ache we learn to live beside.
