Today I am sharing a DIY Christmas Tree Snow Globe that can serve as decor in your home or as a DIY Gift for someone on your list.
There is just something so whimsical about a beautiful snow globe.
I remember playing with them when I was little, tipping it upside down, giving it a shake and watching the magic happen.
This also is a great craft for the kids to do and maybe even gift it to their grandparents!
DIY Christmas Tree Snow Globe
Enjoy a simple yet beautiful snow globe this holiday season by making your very own DIY Christmas Tree Snow Globe.
This snow globe is made without water, however, you can absolutely add water if you wish.
If adding in the water I suggest doing so as the last step after knowing your tree fits!
For that, you will need distilled water and a dash of glycerin to keep the snow from falling to fast.
Instead of the faux snow used below, if using water you will need diamond dust as the faux snow will float.
What You Need:
- Plastic Snow Globe
- Miniature Tree
- Faux Snow
- Glue Gun
- Glue Sticks
I picked up all my supplies at my local Dollar Tree.
Gather the materials you will need to make your Christmas tree snow globe!
Take your snow globe apart by screwing the lid off.
Use a butter knife, a coin, or something to gently pry the plastic insert out.
Using wire cutters to cut the base from the tree.
Cut any remaining wire.
Add faux snow to the globe, filling about ¼ of the way.
Glue the bottom of the tree to the plastic insert.
Place the insert back into the globe.
If it doesn’t fit, you may have to take it back out, pull the tree off the base, remove some from the bottom of the tree, and re-glue.
Screw the back on.
Once the glue has set, get ready to get shaking!
