Building Imagination With Little Tikes Waffle Blocks
Bella is a busy body, but isn’t every 3-year-old? She has so much energy some days I can’t keep up. It is definitely different having a toddler in my 30’s compared to my 20’s. On days when the weather isn’t cooperating, or we are inside having a break from outdoor play, Bella loves to play with her toys. She is currently in a stage where she loves to create and build things.
When I need a little quiet time I usually pull out a few of her building toys that I know will occupy her for more than a few minutes. Something she needs to use her imagination for and get those creative juices flowing!
With so many toys on the market it can be overwhelming knowing what toys to buy, especially if you are purchasing as a gift. Thankfully I have been around the toddler block twice before, so I am pretty good at spotting toys that will captivate their attention, and played with over and over again.
Creative Building With Little Tikes Waffle Blocks
Little Tikes has recently expanded their Waffle Blocks line bringing construction play to a whole new level! The easy to build construction blocks require nothing more than a bit of imagination to create really BIG possibilities.
Little Tikes has always impressed us with their entertaining and quality toys. Last year we reviewed the Little Tikes Cook ‘N Learn Smart Kitchen, so when Little Tikes was included in the MGA Entertainment Spring/Summer Toy Box program I was very happy.
We were recently sent their two new sets, Little Tikes Waffle Blocks Farm and Little Tikes Waffle Blocks Castle, to review with Bella. Find out what we thought, and see what we built below!
Little Tikes Waffle Blocks Farm
It is hard to say which of the two sets Bella was more excited for. She loves farm animals, so it was only fitting that we opened it first.
The Little Tikes Waffle Blocks Farm includes over 80 pieces and figures.
Bella was really interested in how the barn doors worked as we unpacked all the pieces.
The Little Tikes Waffle Blocks Farm includes one girl farmer, one boy farmer, horse, cow, sheep, and tractor. With easy-to-use blocks it allows free building or construction of realistic playsets. There is also an instruction manual included that has instructions on how to build various structures.
She was pretty happy with the farm we built. You can build up, sideways or even mix and match with other Waffle Blocks playsets.
As a parent and thinking of clean up or mobility I was happy that it includes a storage bag that zips up! This means we can keep all the pieces in one place when not in use, or pack up to take when we go on adventures.
You can purchase the Little Tikes Waffle Blocks Farm online at Chapters/Indigo.
Little Tikes Waffle Blocks Castle
Bella insisted her farm needed a castle near by so her farm friends could visit the princess and play.
Like the Little Tikes Waffle Blocks Farm, the castle set also comes with over 80 pieces and figures.
Much like the barn doors, she was interested in seeing how the castle doors opened up.
The Little Tikes Waffle Blocks Castle includes a storage bag, princess, knight, dragon, horse, and carriage.
I think Bella really likes the dragon. She had him flying around the castle saying “let me in, let me in”.
She attached some stairs to the towers so her princess could get up to look about her palace!
You can purchase the Little Tikes Waffle Blocks Castle online at Chapters/Indigo.
Since setting these up Bella has been busy building. She has torn down a few of the original builds and made new structures. They have provided hours of fun and some much-needed down time for this mama of a busy toddler!
Which of these sets do you think your little one would like? Let me know in the comment section below!
