The Little Mermaid Cupcakes are a perfect treat to eat while watching The Little Mermaid Live on ABC tonight (November 5, 2019) at 8:00 PM EST!
That’s right, The Little Mermaid Live is airing on ABC tonight.
Of course, many kids will not be able to stay up late to watch it, so I suggest recording it and having a watch party on the weekend.
I’m sharing 3 mermaid recipes on the blog today to help you create a fun day surrounding the show.
You can make all the recipes with the kids, decorate the living room and enjoy some family fun.

The Little Mermaid Cupcakes
Whip up a batch of The Little Mermaid cupcakes, they are easy enough for the novice baker and would make the perfect treat for a mermaid themed party!
What You Will Need:
- 6 Prepared Cupcakes with purple cupcake liners
- 1 Cup Green Chocolate Discs
- 1 Can Red Frosting
- Mermaid Tail Silicone Mold (buy on Amazon Canada or Amazon US)
How To Make The Little Mermaid Cupcakes
Follow along with the step-by-step process photos for The Little Mermaid Cupcakes and then find the printable recipe below!
Prepare cupcakes per box instructions, or if you are feeling fancy you can use a homemade recipe if you have one.
Gather all the ingredients you will need.
You can purchase the mermaid silicone mold on Amazon Canada or Amazon US and with Prime shipping, you can have it as early as today!
In a microwaveable safe bowl, melt chocolate according to package directions.
Pour into each mold then spread with a knife over the top to remove any excess.
Let them harden for about 45 minutes to an hour, or you can pop them in the freezer to harden faster.
Carefully pop each tail out of the mold.
Pull and stretch the sides of the mold a little bit to help the chocolate loosen.
If any break, take leftover melted chocolate and “glue” it back together.
Add frosting to a piping bag or baggie and snip the corner.
Pipe frosting onto each cupcake.
Add a tail in the middle.
Serve and Enjoy!
